Our membership ranges from enthusiastic hobbyists to those who make their living performing magic. Many of our members have years of experience as performers and share their knowledge at our meetings. You’ve seen some of our members on Penn and Teller’s Fool Us.

Monthly Meetings
We have monthly meetings at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. These are open to WMA members and, by invitation, prospective members. Those who are not members of the Magic Castle will need to make arrangements with the WMA ahead of time. See our Join page for more information.
Our meetings include jam sessions, event reports, new magic demonstrations and reviews, presentations by top magic experts, workshops, and more. Our environment is designed to be supportive, encouraging, and inspiring.
Presentations
We have had presentations from several of our most accomplished members. Some recent contributions include Dr. Tori Noquez, a mathematics professor, who discussed the mathematics of the Faro shuffle and magic squares; Dr. Stefanie Drew did a workshop on Impov, a very useful skill for performers; Nikola Arcane did a presentation on character development and ideas for interactive zoom shows; and Belle Daily premiered her lecture on doing kid shows and did a workshop in her home on balloon artistry

Workshop on the allied art of balloon artistry
We regularly have outside presenters who are some of the most knowledgeable and skilled performers and top experts on magic, including Ice MacDonald, Adam Wiley, Rob Zabrecky, Dale Salwak, Kristen Johnson, Keith Fields & Lady Sarah, Rosemary Reid, Siegfried Tieber, Sara Crasson, Leah Orleans, Diana Zimmerman, El Ropo, and Chris Hart.

Winners
At each meeting we try to have a drawing for door prize that can be won by our members. These are graciously provided by magic companies, and we greatly appreciate their support of women in magic.

Our resident brain scientist Stefanie Drew appropriately won a mind reading deck from The 1914. Eclipse is an extremely cleverly marked ESP deck with gaffs. WMA President Belle Daily bought one for herself, and it is her favorite ESP deck for mentalism. Stefanie also won a close-up pad on which to perform this amazing feat of mentalism. That is around $100 worth. Not bad just for showing up, learning a lot, seeing some great magic, and hanging out with a bunch of fun women magicians.
