The WMA is a group for women magicians to foster friendship, learning, skill development, and to help make us all better performers. We also do outreach to encourage women and girls to become more involved with the art of magic. We have 11 monthly meetings at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, which are also available via zoom. Our 12th meeting is our annual Holiday party. We have many additional outside activities as well.
Members must be magicians or actively learning magic to join. Those with no magic experience can take magic classes from the Magic Castle to join as well. We also help prep new members to pass their magician Magic Castle audition.
Outings
Besides our monthly meetings, we also have group outings, meetups, and social opportunities.
Flight Time
Throughout the year we provide opportunities to work new acts or effects in front of smaller magic loving audiences.
Workshopping
Members have regular opportunities to perform in front of fellow members and get suggestions and feedback.
History
The WMA has been around for just over 10 years and has been involved with the Magic Castle from the beginning.
