Besides our monthly meetings, we have also had a number of group outings.
We have had some great opportunities to tour magical places that are not open to the public. Famed magic publisher, collector and performer Mike Caveney opened up his legendary private magic museum, Egyptian Hall, to a group of our members.

We also meet up at various events, including Magic Live in Las Vegas and Mystify Magic Festival in Las Vegas, and The Academy of Magical Arts Awards Show.

Magic Hall of Fame Collection at Whittier Historical Society and Museum
We had a number of our members present for the opening of the Society of American magicians Magic Hall of Fame Collection at Whittier Historical Society and Museum. The gala was put on by WMA member Kim Hallinger in her role as the first woman president of the Magic Hall of Fame. She was also the first woman president of the Society of American Magicians Assembly 22. The SAM is a national organization of magicians founded in 1902 and headed over the years by such magic luminaries as Harry Houdini and Howard Thurston.
The exhibit lasted for several months, and over that time a number of our members performed there, including our youngest member, Isha, who honed the act that she later performed at the Magic Castle. She is also a member of the Magic Castle’s exclusive and prestigious Junior Magicians group.
There was also a special night devoted to women magicians. The stage show featured Elizabeth Messick (a winner on Penn and Teller’s Fool Us), Kim Hallinger, and Belle Daily. Sirinda performed close-up magic for the crowd.

Annual Holiday Party
One of our major fun events is our annual Holiday party. It is held at a member’s home each year. In 2024, it was held in an amazing mansion in Benedict Canyon courtesy of Sharon Durham.
